Ryan and I recently took another trip(fall of 2019) and traveled all the way down from Northern Michigan to Hot Springs Arkansas, where we spent several days mining quartz crystal from multiple mines around Hot Springs & Mt. Ida!

This listing is for the pictured Arkansas Quartz Crystal point. It weighs at about 12.5oz, and measures about 4.25”W x 2.25”T.

This particular piece came from the Ron Coleman mine in Jessieville, Arkansas!!

Quartz, or silica (SiO2), is a hard, brittle, durable mineral that exhibits considerable
resistance to weathering. It occurs in nature in many varieties, but is best known from Arkansas as prismatic, elongate, transparent, vitreous crystals. Arkansas is known worldwide for the production of quartz crystals by both collectors and scientists.(Source - geology.arkansas.gov)
