All of our heart shaped stones are shaped freehand, which means we do not use a stencil or anything when shaping the hearts! If you’ve never heard of a Leland Blue, they are actually formed from slag. Back in the late 1800s, Northern Michigan was known for it’s iron ore mining. A process called smelting cause the iron ore to separate from natural impurities, and when cooled, the impurities formed into a stone-like slag now known as Leland blue. This stone is cherished by locals and used to make jewelry and other arts. It’s nothing like you’ve ever seen! This Leland Blue is a gorgeous lighter blue; however, they can range from light to dark blue and every shade in-between.

This pendant is completely natural, nothing has been added to the outside to give it the shine it has!!! We take each piece and cut & shape them into these amazing Hearts!! These are simply stunning in person!!
